![]() What a great piece of history preserved and given a new purpose! Not only is it the coolest lamp but also a great conversation piece! If thats not enough it can also display your favorite movies or home movie on a 3" reel (holds 50 feet of film) which I am including free with the purchase of this lamp as seen in photos. The canister was also blue, but painted in a metallic dark copper for contrast, the color change looks great. Lamp base: the film rewinder is mounted on top of a blue metal vintage reel and canister. All the brass nuts and real vintage washers used also look like tiny gears as part of the theme. ![]() The vintage style bulb is also included its round with a spiral element and amber glass. It has a brass turn knob switch, the brass parts on the switch look like gears, this was intentional. ![]() The on/off switch is mounted on the right hand side. The unit has been left in its original state and has great patina! Three coats of satin clear were applied to preserve its original condition and years of use.Įlectrical: The socket installed is top quality made in USA of black glazed porcelain and has an eight foot retro black cloth cord with insulated wires and a new retro black round plug. The crank handle is also functional and freely turns. The gears are still functional and can be turned by hand. The inner workings have been removed and reworked to mount on the outside of the rewinder. Everything is original to the rewinder, the black cast iron case, crank handle, gears and reel lock pin. This is an awesome lamp repurposed from a Vintage Nuemade Film Rewinder. Neumade Film Rewinder Lamp Steam Punk Table Lamp Film/Movie Buff Film Reels VTG. IMPORTANT: Do not add the item to the cart when you are in an off-site search. Then, you can purchase this item as a guest if your not a member. Instead, copy the full title of my listing, go to and paste it in their search bar. If you feel this policy is unfair to small businesses as I do, please contact Etsy to express your concern. I asked if I could cancel sales through offsite ads, and they said yes, so that is what I will do. I contacted Etsy and tried to opt out, but they said that it is obligatory. If that is reduced to 28%, I wouldn't be able to stay in business without increasing my prices by 12%, which is unfair to my customers. I get to keep roughly 40% of what I take in. This is a business for me, and after expenses, etc. NOTE: Due to a new Etsy policy which forces (I cannot opt out) professional sellers to pay an additional 12% fee for what are called "offsite ads" sales, I will have to cancel any sales that are generated from "offsite ads." That means that if you saw an ad on Google or some other website and it had a picture of one of my items, and you clicked it and then decided to purchase it, Etsy would take an additional 12% fee on that sale, in addition to the near 8.6% fee it already takes.
